Christmas Appeal 2017

The Harpenden Trust's 2017 Christmas Appeal raised the magnificent sum of £53,000 with Gift Aid.

The Trust is very grateful to the people of Harpenden for their fantastic support in these difficult times.  By digging deep into your pockets you have given us more than half the funds we need annually to help local people in need.

However, those needs are not always financial;  loneliness is an increasing problem as our population ages.  We are always keen to welcome volunteers who, for example, might become befrienders and offer some company to those who may be elderly and alone.  You could also help at the twice-weekly coffee mornings, or support the Trust in many other ways.

Meanwhile, thanks also go to all our area organisers, collectors and everyone who helps with the Christmas Appeal.  Without your hard work we would not be able to raise these funds.

A piece of history:  when the Christmas Appeal was first held in 1952 it raised the princely sum of £302.16.10!
