Community Fund Builds on Play and Learning Opportunities at High Beeches Primary School

The Harpenden Trust's Community Fund has been delighted to support High Beeches Primary School in the construction of a new outdoor shelter for their Early Years outdoor area for the 4- and 5-year-olds. The Trust previously supported the construction of another outdoor area at the school which had been a great success, particularly during Covid, and this new area has provided much needed play and learning capacity. It has been fitted out with great imagination and is clearly being enjoyed by the younger pupils and, being covered, can be enjoyed in all weathers.

Jonathan Walker, Headmaster of High Beeches, comments: "The Trust’s donation has enabled us to create a really attractive learning space for our youngest children, enabling them to learn and play outside whatever the weather and ensuring they are safe and secure."
