Sometimes it’s the smaller things that make the difference.
Certainly the volunteers at the Keech Hospice shop in Harpenden feel that way since an air conditioning unit funded with £1,500 from the Harpenden Trust Community Fund swung into action to provide ventilation in the storeroom where donations are sorted, and which has no outside windows.
“It has been unbearable in the summer for the last ten years, so the improved environment really has made a significant difference,” said Meg Davies of Keech. “We are really grateful to the Trust.”
