Generous Donation by St Albans Tour Guides to Support the Care Fund

The Harpenden Trust’s Care Fund is extremely grateful to the St Albans Tour Guides who annually donate to a charity of their choice and on this occasion have chosen the Trust. The Tour Guides are offered expenses for their services and any unclaimed balance is given to charity.

The Tour Guides have donated some £1,400 to the Trust. The plans are that this money will be used this year to support a seniors’ tea party for the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and an additional seniors’ outing.

The St Albans Tour Guides provide public and private guided walks and talks in St Albans and across the district, including Harpenden, Redbourn and Wheathampstead. The walks and talks provide a great insight into the history of the St Albans district through the ages and through specific themes such as pubs and crime and punishment.
