Launch of the Harpenden Trust Christmas Appeal

Every year, Harpenden Trust launches their Christmas Appeal on 1 December for a month – raising money for the charity to support local residents in need and provide all of the services they operate across the town.

The funds collected from their appeal not only helps residents in need over the festive period, but also aids the charity with their work into the following year, as they support young families to seniors in Harpenden.

Harpenden Trust’s main aim is to support their community – from giving families a helping hand, to offering a listening ear at one of the many groups they host. They will always try and help anyone that gets in touch if they are in need with absolutely no judgement.

Richard Nichols, Chair of Harpenden Trust, said: “Our Christmas Appeal is the only time Harpenden Trust asks for donations, and these donations are vital to the work we do supporting residents in need over the festive period, as well as into the following year.

“We want to be able to help as many Harpenden residents that are in need as we can, and we wouldn’t be able to do that without your amazing donations through our Christmas Appeal – for which we are all truly grateful.

“You may have seen our volunteers posting the collection envelopes through your letterbox, and we will continue to do this, but I do know less and less people have cash hanging around. That’s why on the envelope too you’ll see there’s other ways you can donate, no matter how small we really do appreciate every single penny you give.

“This year, please consider Harpenden Trust as your chosen Christmas charity – supporting local residents in times of need and being that ‘friendly neighbour’.”

Harpenden Trust are asking if you can give whatever you can afford, if possible, to make a difference to your community and bring joy to someone’s life in Harpenden.
