Introducing ... Nicole

“I joined the Trust over a year ago. I just wanted to do some volunteering. I met with the People Director to get an understanding of what the Trust does. At that time the Wellbeing Team were in their early stages, so I decided to join them. We aim to help people that are struggling to get the most out of life. We encourage and join them in going to groups, meeting new and sometimes likeminded people. I like to drive so offered myself to the driving group. Now I drive a lady on a Thursday to the Salvation Army coffee morning and do some other ad hoc driving.

Last Christmas, I helped deliver the Christmas parcels. To see how thankful people are is brilliant.

Being on the Wellbeing Team can be very challenging but also rewarding when we are able to improve the quality of people’s lives. The trust has so many people doing multiple jobs, it’s amazing!”

If you would like to volunteer in our local community please contact the Harpenden Trust office via [email protected] or 01582 460457 to find out about the opportunities we have available.
