Introducing ... Roger

“My name is Roger. I answered the call for volunteers to help with Covid-19 vaccinations, and worked through the Harpenden Trust to help with that. On retirement from work, I looked to build on that and joined the Befriending team. I meet my lovely friend for a couple of hours each week when we have a chat and a cup of tea. Last autumn I also helped meet and greet some anxious secondary school pupils before and at the end of their group sessions with Youth Talk, which is set to resume shortly. More recently I have joined the Blue Badge team, helping people who need assistance with applications for Blue Badge Permits.”

The Harpenden Trust has many rewarding volunteering opportunities, not all require specific skills or restrictive time commitments. If you would like to volunteer and see how you can help others in our community please contact the Trust office on 01582 460457 or e-mail [email protected] to find out about the roles we have available.
